Unfortunately the fuel your body needs isn’t as simple as filling up your car. It would be great if it was that easy, but good health doesn't come that easy. There are diets that are that simple but they are usually not a balanced diet and leave you at least partial malnutrition. This type of diet will set you back in the long run.
You can have limited success with just dieting but it will only help you lose weight to a certain point. Dieting can help you lose some weight but they don’t give you elegant shoulders or a fantastic butt. I have NEVER heard a person say,”I on this diet and I feel soooo good!”. Most people act like their diet is a punishment to be endured until they lose the 5, 10, 15 pounds and then they (thankfully) quite.
Eating the right foods is a part of losing weight and being healthy, but it isn’t the entire answer. Cardio and strength training are not the only thing your body needs either, but will supercharge your results from a proper diet. Diet AND exercise will give you twice the result in half the time. Trying to lose weight by dieting alone is like cooking without salt… it can be done but you won’t like it. Once you have achieved the figure you want, or fitness level desired, you can relax your dieting standards. It is much easier to maintain than it is to drive toward a the finishing goal. Remember, you don’t get to throw out the healthy lifestyle after having worked so hard, but you can relax the standards a bit.
